FOR A MORE JUST WORLD
Loving God, move us to love in concrete ways
as we seek a better future for all of your children.
Open our eyes to the values of the social teaching of the Church;
give us the energy and the courage to reject fatalism.
Grant that we may be guided by Catholic Social Teaching
so we may be a part of creating
the systems and structures of grace
that will allow all human life to flourish.
Nurture hope in our hearts, guide us forward
and give us a sustaining vision
of a renewed human community
in a renewed Creation.
—Jane Deren, Education for Justice

SECOND SEMESTER SCHEDULE CHANGES
Students seeking a schedule change may do so through this Friday, January 16th, at 3 p.m. Students can access the online Schedule Change Request Form on the Student Portal. Students should note that only the following schedule change requests will be made during this window:
• Drop a non-essential 7th or 8th class. • Drop from an honors or AP level course into a corresponding college preparatory level course (requires parent and counselor approval). • Add a visual art, performing art, or physical development course (as space permits). Please note that grade-level priority is given for these requests. • Balance a schedule with two off periods in the same block.
If a student has any questions about their schedule or this scheduling process, the student should make an appointment with their counselor. There will be a $25 fee for any student-initiated schedule changes.
FIRST SEMESTER TRANSCRIPTS AVAILABLE ON PARENT AND STUDENT PORTALS
Students and parents can log into their portals to find unofficial copies of student transcripts that include
all semester grades through the fall of 2025. Please note that report cards are not issued for the semester
only transcripts are provided. If you have any questions about student transcripts, please contact your student's counselor.

Monarch Madness: Sign Ups This Week!
Your student will be able to sign up for Monarch Madness XXXV this Thursday, January 15th, and Friday, January 16th! These sign-ups will take place during lunch at the Student Life Center. Because there can only be 50 students per class team, we encourage each student to put his or her name into the random drawing for a chance to participate. Students who have never been a team member have their names entered twice in the drawing. Students who have served on the team before have their names entered only once in the drawing. Freshmen are entered once as well. Students can only sign up in person and need to have their current school-issued ID on hand.
Names will be drawn during the divisional meetings at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 23rd. Student Activities will be sending out additional information surrounding this magical March 5th, 2026 event very soon!
Damn Yankees Opens THIS Friday, January 16th.
Tickets for our upcoming winter production of Damn Yankees, running from January 16th through January 24th are now available! Tickets can be purchased here.
Middle-aged baseball fanatic Joe Boyd, trades his soul to the Devil for a chance to lead his favorite baseball team to victory in the pennant race against the New York Yankees. As the young baseball sensation Joe Hardy, he transforms the hapless Washington Senators into a winning team, only to realize the
true worth of the life that he's left behind. Light, fast-paced
and devilishly clever, Damn Yankees is a homerun hit, featuring all-American subject matter and an irreverent sense of humor.
Production run time is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, with one 15 minute intermission. Children under 5 years of age are not permitted.
2026-2027 Course Placement Drop-in Sessions for Students
Students who have questions regarding course placement for next year are invited to stop by room 301 and have their questions answered. Department chairs from the Art, English, Math, Science, Social Studies and World Language departments will be there. Sessions will take place on Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th from 7:45 - 8:15 a.m. and 2:45 - 3:15 p.m.
Emergency Communications
This month, we will be testing our emergency notification system through SchoolMessenger. This system allows us the opportunity to send emergency alerts or other significant advisories to our faculty, staff, coaches, students, and parents in the event that important information needs to be shared quickly with a particular group. The messages can come in three different formats: text message, emails, or voice messages.
Each of you who have opted-in to the SchoolMessenger system in the past should receive all three forms of message as a test of the system. If you have not opted in to receive text messages, you may only receive email and/or voice message communications.
If you have not opted-in to the system and would like to receive these text message alerts in the future please text the word, "yes" to the number 67587 and you will automatically be included in the text group.
