Immersion Applications & Information Night

Would you like to learn more about AMHS immersion trips and how to apply? Students will have the opportunity to discuss our immersion program in sophomore and junior religion classes during the first weeks of November. 

Parents and students are also invited to attend our Immersion Information Night live on Zoom on Thursday, November 13th, from 6 - 7 p.m. Register here to receive the webinar link. If you register, but are unable to attend, a recording of the evening will be sent to you. 

Applications for immersion trips will be open from November 12th - December 1st on the student portal under "Forms." For more information, head to our website.

COLLEGE ESSAY REVIEW WORKSHOPS, NOV. 13TH & 14TH
The Counseling and English Departments are offering optional essay review workshops to support seniors during their application process. This is a great time to have your UC PIQs reviewed. Students are still encouraged to meet with their counselor, but can use these workshops if there are schedule conflicts. Contact Ms. Menor at tmenor@mitty.com to sign up.

Parenting for Prevention Recording

WELL BEYOND ACADEMICS PARENT SESSION NOW AVAILABLE
In partnership with Well Beyond Academics (WBA), a non-profit organization which provides comprehensive substance use education, our 9th and 11th grade students will participate in the K(NO)W Beyond program this January. With an emphasis on prevention, WBA provides information on specific substances typically used by teens, reasons for adolescent use and abuse, and the dangers of addiction. On Tuesday, October 28th, WBA offered a Parenting for Prevention virtual event for 9th and 11th grade parents and guardians in preparation for their students' participation in the program; however, this event offers important information that can be beneficial for all grade levels. For your information, we are providing a link of the recording of the event.

Athletics Report

CROSS COUNTRY ADVANCES TO CCS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to our men's cross country team for earning a spot at the CCS Championships this Saturday at Crystal Springs, thanks to their performance at the WCAL Finals. Junior Ved Nath had a standout showing, finishing 2nd in the men's individual race. On the women's side, senior Alessia Carbone and sophomore Zoe Cordani both punched their tickets to CCS with qualifying times. Best of luck!

WOMEN'S TENNIS CONTINUES TO SHINE
Freshman standout Sophie Kunkel capped off an incredible week by capturing the WCAL Singles Tournament Championship, further extending her impressive run this season. The momentum continued as the women's tennis team secured their spot in the CCS Tournament and delivered a commanding 5–2 upset victory over Evergreen Valley on Monday to advance to Round 2. The Monarchs will take on Harker on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Del Mar. Good luck! 

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL CROWNED CCS CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to our women's volleyball team, who delivered another outstanding performance to capture the CCS Open Division Championship in straight sets over St. Francis. With the dominant win, the Monarchs secured the #1 seed in the CIF Northern California Championships and will host Redwood (Larkspur) this Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Fien Gym. Good luck!

FOOTBALL DELIVERS COMMANDING VICTORY OVER BELLARMINE AND ADVANCES
TO CCS OPEN PLAYOFFS
Congratulations to our football team for an outstanding team effort in their 42–0 victory over Bellarmine on Senior Night. It was a true Monarch celebration as fans packed Bothman Stadium for the Annual Hall of Fame Night Football Game. With this victory, the team has secured a spot in the CCS Open Division playoffs and will take on Junipero Serra on the road next Saturday at 1 p.m. Good luck!

Admissions Information

REGISTER TO ATTEND OPEN HOUSE - SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 23RD
Archbishop Mitty High School will host its annual Open House for prospective students from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 23rd. If you know any families considering Archbishop Mitty for their students, please encourage them to attend. The day will feature campus tours, booths with our faculty, staff, and program directors, and student entertainment. It's a great way for families to be introduced to the Archbishop Mitty community. Registration is required and is now open via Ravenna, which can be accessed by visiting this website. Students are permitted to leave after their last class
period of the day. This is the start of Thanksgiving Break.

Classes begin at 8:10 a.m.

DECEMBER 15TH - EARLY RELEASE
All students have a 12 p.m. release time.

DECEMBER 16TH - EARLY RELEASE
All students have a 12 p.m. release time.

FINAL EXAMS - DECEMBER 17TH - 19TH
Final Exams are scheduled for December 17th - 19th. Since final exams cannot be moved or rescheduled, please schedule family trips or other obligations around these dates. Students may leave after their last final of the day.

First Semester Final Examination Schedule

The first semester final examination schedule is available for viewing on the student and parent portals. First semester finals will take place Wednesday, December 17th through Friday, December 19th. Students who have two finals scheduled at the same time need to email Ms. Alicia Carter at registrar@mitty.com as soon as possible to schedule an alternate time for one of the finals.

WASC Parent Survey 

As part of the Archbishop Mitty accreditation process, parents/guardians from all grade levels are asked to complete a survey about various school programs. Please take a few minutes to complete the following survey, using your experiences as an Archbishop Mitty parent/guardian as the basis of your answers. The responses to the survey are anonymous. Please complete the survey by Tuesday, November 25th. If you have any questions, please contact Beth Madia at bmadia@mitty.com. 

Parliamentary and Policy Debate Champions

This past weekend, MSD competed at California Forensic League (CFL) Parli and Policy, earning two additional wildcards to the State Qualifying Tournament! Congratulations to the following tournament champions: sophomore Phoenix Smith, junior Ezekiel Smith, senior Dhruv Mallick, and junior Siyona Kher! The team has earned a total of 48 wildcards thus far and is looking forward to earning even more wildcards at CFL Public Forum and Lincoln Douglas next weekend!

Confirmation Calendar Now Available

Students interested in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation through AMHS Campus Ministry should review the 2025-26 Confirmation Calendar with their families to ensure they are able to attend all required liturgies, formation sessions, and meetings. Registration for Confirmation will open on December 1st on the AMHS Confirmation website. Upcoming Schedule Changes

The library will close at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 21st so that the library team can prepare for Open House. Additionally, the library will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25th for the Thanksgiving Break. Thank you!

2025-26 Booster Pass

THE 2025-26 BOOSTER PASS IS AVAILABLE ON THE LION'S DEN WEBSITE
The AMHS Booster Pass admits two parents and all school-aged children into all AMHS home games. Purchasing the pass can provide you with significant savings at home contests (football, volleyball, and basketball).

Please note that you cannot use your Booster Pass for playoff games.

Tuition Assistance Applications for the 2026–2027 School Year

The Tuition Assistance applications portal (FACTS) for the 2026–2027 school year will open on Monday, November 24, 2025, and close on Monday, February 2, 2026. A link to the FACTS portal is available on our website under Tuition Assistance.

Families seeking tuition assistance are required to reapply each year. 

• New applicants will need to create a FACTS account.
• Returning applicants may log in using their existing credentials

Please note that all required documents — including 2025 W-2s and 2024 tax returns — must be uploaded directly on FACTS to complete your application.

New this year: FACTS is offering IRS Integration for applicants who meet specific eligibility criteria. This feature allows applicants to streamline the submission of required tax information by securely connecting directly with IRS records. More details are posted here.
