In Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe . . .
We give thanks for mothers everywhere.
When times are hard, in situations of suffering . . .
We give thanks for the sacrifices they make each day for their children.
For their examples of love, caring, and hope . . .
We give thanks for their generosity, their compassion and their hope for the future.
In the Congo, Iraq, Uganda, Palestine, Colombia . . .
We remember mothers in our global community who care for their children as guns of war are heard.
In Zimbabwe, India, Guyana, Belize, Botswana . . .
We remember mothers as sicknesses such as AIDS and malaria ravage their lands.
In Haiti, Burundi, Eritrea, Cambodia, Guatemala . . .
We remember mothers whose access to food and water is scarce.
In Sudan, Sri Lanka, Somalia, Afghanistan . . .
We remember mothers who bundled up their children, fled their homes, and became refugees.
Mary, Mother of God, embrace all mothers, give them strength and courage and mother their spirits so they can continue to heal the wounds of their children and of the world.
We give thanks for mothers everywhere. Amen.

Summer Blessings from AMHS
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER AMAZING YEAR!
To our Monarch families,
Thank you for sharing in another amazing school year here at Archbishop Mitty High School. We are always grateful for the opportunity to work with our bright, compassionate, and dedicated students. Thank you for trusting us in this endeavor of Catholic education and for allowing us to walk together with our students once again this year. We are a stronger and more hopeful community because of those we encounter here each day.
May this summer respite bring about time for rest, reflection, and renewal. We look forward to seeing our returning students in the fall and wish our graduating seniors, the Class of 2026, all the best as they head out into their new adventures. We look forward to welcoming you back when you return home for the holidays!
May God protect each of you this summer
and always.
With deepest gratitude,
The Administration, Faculty and Staff of Archbishop Mitty High School
AP Exams
AP Testing runs from May 4th through May 15th, with late testing continuing through May 22nd for a smaller group of students. During this period, students will be excused from class to test. The full testing schedule is available in the student and parent portals for your reference.
All students: testing will take place in multiple locations across campus (including both gyms, Monarch Room, conference rooms, the library, and counseling offices) throughout the weeks of May 4th through May 22nd. Please be mindful of noise levels as you move around campus and help us maintain the quiet environment your peers need to perform their best.
For students preparing to test, here are a few tips to set yourself up for success:
• Read all instructions carefully before test day. Don't just skim! Missing key details is one of the most common sources of confusion and stress. • If your teacher offers a practice run-through, take advantage of it. You can also complete one on your own. It can make a big difference in how confident and prepared you feel. • Resource links, policies, and schedules are available in the student and parent portals whenever you need them.
We wish all of our AP students the very best, and your hard work and preparation will show. Thank you, families, for your continued support!

SPRING FINALS
As we approach the end of the semester, there are a few reminders for Spring Final Exams.
• Exams are scheduled for May 18-20, 2026. Final exams cannot be moved or rescheduled. Please look at your schedules prior to finals week to ensure your students know their finals schedule and that there are no conflicts with any exams. If they have a conflict, the student should email our registrar, Ms. Carter, at registrar@mitty.com to reschedule one of the finals.
• The dress code will be in effect through finals week. Slippers, slides, sweats, and athletic wear (including leggings) are not permitted. Students should review the dress code on the Archbishop Mitty website for more detailed information.
• Students are permitted to leave following their last final of the day.
IMPORTANT LOCKER INFORMATION
This summer our maintenance department will be permanently removing lockers on campus. It is critical that we know exactly how many lockers we will need for returning students. Lockers are reassigned every year based on interest. Incoming 9th grade students are automatically assigned lockers. This means that there will be a limited number of lockers available to returning students this fall.
Students interested in a locker for next year should click this link and complete the form by Friday May 22nd. Students that fail to fill out this survey will not be assigned a locker in the fall.
Second Semester Final Examination Schedule
The second semester final examination schedule is available for viewing on the student and parent portals. Second semester finals will take place Monday, May 18th through Wednesday, May 20th. Students who have conflicts because two finals are scheduled at the same time need to email Ms. Alicia Carter at registrar@mitty.com as soon as possible to schedule an alternate time for one of the finals.

Athletics Report
HISTORIC WEEKEND FOR MONARCH SWIMMING: CCS CHAMPIONS
The Monarch swimming program delivered a historic performance at the 2026 CCS Championships as both the men's and women's teams captured CCS team titles. The men's team earned the program's first ever CCS championship while the women's team secured the program's 12th CCS title. The achievement marks only the second time in CCS history that one school has swept both the men's and women's swimming championships in the same season. The Monarchs' wide margin of victory for both teams was fueled by outstanding depth across nearly every event throughout the weekend. Junior Shareef Elaydi highlighted the meet by breaking his own CCS record in the 100 breaststroke with a winning time of 52.01 in Saturday's finals. Additional first place finishes came from junior Enna O'Young in the girls 100 breaststroke, the women's 200 medley relay team, the women's 400 freestyle relay team, and the men's 200 freestyle relay team, which also set a new CCS record with a time of 1:22.24. Congratulations to all of our swimmers and coaches, and best of luck at the State Championships this weekend.
BADMINTON PLAYERS ADVANCES TO CCS INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to the following members of the badminton program for earning first place finishes at the Santa Teresa West Division Finals of the Blossom Valley Athletic League and remaining undefeated to advance to the CCS Individual Championships. Sophomore Audrey Zhao captured the women's singles title, while senior Laila Wang and sophomore Cynthia Wang claimed first place in women's doubles. In mixed doubles, sophomore Kevin Liu and freshman Elsa Dai earned the division championship with a first place finish. Congratulations to all of our Monarch athletes, and best of luck this Saturday at the CCS Individual Tournament.

Updates from the Business Office
FOOD SERVICE TRANSITION Effective June 2026, our food service provider will transition from Epicurean to FlikHospitality Group. It is important to note that Flik is the parent company of Epicurean under the Compass Group umbrella. Because of this existing relationship, we expect a seamless transition with no changes to the high level of service provided to our students and our school community. You can continue to expect the same quality and dedication you have come to rely on. Additionally, Flik will manage all food service for our upcoming summer programs.
For those interested in learning more about our new partner, we encourage you to visit their website at www.flikisd.com.
As we begin preparations for the upcoming school year 2026-27, we wanted to let you know that we will continue with the current payment options and returning student balances on MySchoolBucks will be moved under FLIK seamlessly. More information to come in August 2026. Current Seniors: Please use up your MySchoolbuck balances by the last day of school.
DONATE YOUR USED TEXTBOOKS
Please consider donating your used textbooks from the 2025-26 school year. Please drop them off in the Business Office anytime after your final exams or during the summer from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. This is not a buyback program but an opportunity to greatly support our Book Scholarship Program.
Monarchs on Immersion Trips
Please keep our 200+ students, faculty, staff, and alumni in your thoughts and prayers as they embark on 10 immersion experiences this summer, both locally and around the globe. From San Francisco to the American South, from Monterey to Los Angeles, and internationally in India, El Salvador, Jamaica, and South Africa, our Monarchs are stepping into communities with open hearts. Through these encounters, they are building authentic relationships, deepening their faith, and working toward a more just and compassionate world.
Go Monarchs!
