A PRAYER FOR THANKSGIVING Lord, we thank you for the goodness of our people and for the spirit of justice that fills this nation. We thank you for the beauty and fullness of the land and the challenge of the cities. We thank you for our work and our rest, for one another, and for our homes. We thank you, Lord; accept our thanksgiving on this day. We pray and give thanks through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (source: United States Conference of Catholic Bishops)
Thanksgiving Blessings from AMHS
"Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)
Dear Archbishop Mitty Families,
In this season of gratitude, we pause to thank you for the blessing of our students whom you entrust with us, and in doing so make Archbishop Mitty High School the truly special place that it is.
As we embark on this well-deserved break to celebrate with our families and friends, please keep those who go without this holiday season in your prayers. May those who hunger be blessed with food to nourish their bodies, may those who suffer be touched by God's healing hand, and may those who are lonely find a place at our tables so that we may live out Imago Dei, seeing God in all those we encounter.
We thank you for partnering with us in this endeavor of Catholic education.
May your families be blessed this Thanksgiving and always.
Gratefully,
Kate Caputo Principal
Latanya Hilton President
