Good and gracious God,
Our most glorious Creator,
As we greet the signs in nature around us:
Of Spring once again regaling us in bloom,
In the songs of returning birds and fields soon to be planted,
We give you praise for an even greater sign of new life: the resurrection of your Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, that we especially celebrate at this time.
The sadness and despair of his death has given way to the bright promise of immortality.
For the Resurrection is our guarantee that justice will triumph over treason, Light will overcome
darkness, and love will conquer death.
As we celebrate, we also dare to ask for your grace that we may live the promise given to us,
By imitating the life of Jesus in reaching out to the poor, the marginalized, the least among us,
As we strive to be neighbor to all those we meet,
We ask for your special blessings each and every day for our President.
Working with him may we strive to make this great country of ours a beacon of hope and justice
in a world hungry for peace and so in need of your love.
We praise you in this Easter season. Change our lives, change our hearts to be messengers of
Easter joy and hope.
We make our prayer through Jesus Christ, our risen Lord forever.
Amen.
- Fr. Larry Snyder, president of Catholic Charities USA, offered at the fourth annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast on April 8, 2013

The candidates represented themselves very well during the campaign and through their speeches, and should be applauded for their efforts.
DIVISIONAL ELECTIONS ARE APPROACHING
If your student is a current freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in representing his or her class next year as a student government representative, an official candidate meeting will take place at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th in the Kinkade Theater. An informational meeting was held this morning, and all documents are accessible on the Student Government Canvas page. Still have questions? Please feel free to have your student contact Student Activities.

Four-Acre Field Dedication Ceremony
TOMORROW - APRIL 14, 2026
Please join us for an afternoon of community and celebration! We will have three food trucks - Judie's Tacos, Grillzillas, and Kona Ice - with food for purchase starting right after school. This is a family friendly event, so please encourage your student to join the fun, and to stay for the baseball game against Archbishop Riordan and the softball game against Piedmont Hills following the Dedication Ceremony.

Dean's Office Reminders
SEVENTH GRADE DAY - WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15TH
On Wednesday, April 15th, classes end at 11:30 a.m. We will welcome 7th graders to campus immediately after school for 7th Grade Day. Our guests will be dropped off by their parents at 12 p.m. This means that traffic in the area will be impacted. Students are permitted to leave after their last class of the day and are encouraged to leave campus right as school is dismissed.
Students parking in the senior lot will need to move their cars immediately after school. Please be aware that traffic flow out of the senior lot will change so that you may only exit out to Doyle Road immediately after school. Traffic will be heavily impacted on Mitty Way. Please take time with your family to plan accordingly.
JUNIOR PROM AND SENIOR BALL DRESS CODE
We will be holding our Junior Prom on Saturday, April 18th and our Senior Ball on Saturday, May 2nd. In an effort to make each of these dances run as smoothly as possible, students are reminded to purchase all dance tickets online prior to the event and turn in all guest passes on time to avoid missing out. Please listen carefully when announcements are made or check the Mitty.com website for further details.
Students are reminded to be sure that they are within the dress code for these end of the year events. All dress code and dance policies can be found on the Archbishop Mitty website under "Dances."Students out of dress code will not be permitted into the dances, and parents will be contacted. Because these will be special nights for juniors and seniors, it is important that everyone understands the standards expected to enter these dances so that we can avoid any disruptions or frustration. Please be sure that if you are bringing a guest from another school that they too are within the dress code, so that they are permitted to enter the dance as well. Students looking to purchase a dress for these dances should consider these styles when preparing for the big night.
As a reminder, students that purchase a ticket for any of our dances are expected to remain until the dance ends and the doors open. For Junior Prom and Senior Ball this means that students will leave at 11:30 p.m. Permission to leave the dance early is only permitted if requested to the Dean's Office in advance of the dance or in the event of illness during the dance.
Any student with questions regarding dress code or other dance policies should speak to Ms. Lauren Bevilacqua, Dean of Students, in advance of the event.
