Keyboards for Digital AP Exams

In the 2024-25 school year, students enrolled in any of the following classes will need a physical keyboard for testing:

• AP US History
• AP World History
• AP English Language
• AP English Literature
• AP African American Studies
• AP Computer Science

The AMHS IT Department recommends the Macally Compact USB C Keyboard for Mac for students enrolled in any of these AP courses. Note that this keyboard may be available at other websites/locations at a better price; feel free to purchase from any reputable store.

Bluetooth keyboards are not approved for use during AMHS administered AP exams as they have too many points of failure to encourage their use for standardized testing in a large group setting. Other USB-C wired keyboards may be used on the AP exam, including Apple Magic Keyboards for iPad or Logitech iPad keyboard cases. If you have questions or concerns about whether a keyboard will work for the AP exams, please check in with the AMHS IT Office or email ithelp@mitty.com in the first weeks of the school year to confirm its compatibility.
