A PRAYER FROM CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES (MEXICO) We walk, Lord, guided as pilgrims, with confidence that your presence gives us life, and is stronger than the weariness of the road. When we walk, Lord, we know that you keep your promises, that a seedling of hope has sprung up in the midst of a dry people. We walk, Lord, with our hands empty, seeking to be filled with your presence. We go full of poverty to be enriched. Amen.

Save the Date: Virtual Mitty Parent Education Event Next Week!
THE DISENGAGED TEEN: UNLOCKING TEEN MOTIVATION. October 30th, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. via Zoom Archbishop Mitty High School is proud to announce a virtual parent education event presented by the authors of the best selling book, "The Disengaged Teen."
A shocking majority of kids are disengaged from school, simultaneously bored, and overwhelmed – a toxic combination. And the more disengaged they are, the less likely they will learn the skills they need to be successful in a world of AI, and the more likely they are to report feeling sad, anxious or depressed. Jenny Anderson and Rebecca Winthrop spent three years conducting extensive research into student engagement, and uncovered four learning modes: achiever, resister, passenger and explorer. Anderson and Winthrop will describe these modes and what parents can do to help students spend time in explorer mode, where they are fully engaged in what they are learning.
Additional details and registration can be foundhere. We look forward to seeing you there!

Campus Construction Update
Our Facilities Team is excited to share significant progress on two major campus projects that will enhance the Archbishop Mitty experience for students, families, and the entire community.
The Lion's Den Store, located in the west parking lot adjacent to the Thomas Kinkade Center for the Arts, is quickly taking shape. The new building will house our school's official store—featuring Mitty-branded apparel and spirit items—as well as a much-needed office space. Construction is moving along smoothly, and completion is expected by the start of December. The Lion's Den will serve students, families, alumni, and prospective students, providing a welcoming space to celebrate Monarch pride.
Meanwhile, construction on our new four-acre multipurpose field is in full swing and on-schedule for a January completion. This dynamic new complex will feature a softball facility, a baseball practice field, and a state-of-the-art artificial turf field designed to support lacrosse, soccer, field hockey, and our new women's flag football team.
We are thrilled with the progress on both projects and look forward to celebrating these exciting additions to our campus. Keep an eye out for an announcement regarding the grand opening of the new field— coming soon!
